Dakota Shane Nunley.

Content strategy leader and zero-to-one builder — making brands and the people behind them impossible to miss.

Dakota Shane Nunley

I've run the same play for a decade, at every scale: do work worth seeing, then put it where the people who decide can see it. I started with no audience and no platform — publishing on Medium until I was the No. 3 writer on the platform for social media. That earned the Inc.com column and my first paid speaking gig, landing within the same 48 hours in 2017 — a column that went on to be read by 2.5M+ people worldwide.

Since then I've built the engine version of that play for others: co-founded a content agency with my brother and scaled it $0 → $100K+ (clients from DrChrono to Olive Garden), spearheaded Scratchpay's rebrand and its TechCrunch debut, launched Greatness.com from zero to 20K+ monthly readers as its first in-house writer while ghostwriting a top-50 global podcast, and rebuilt Udacity's B2C content engine. Today at Product.ai I'm Director of Content & Authority Strategy — promoted after six months — running the data journalism, digital PR, and answer-engine optimization programs for the era when AI engines, not just people, decide what gets seen and recommended.

The arc.

How I work.

Good work should win

People are smart — you can’t trick anyone worth convincing. The job is closing the gap between what’s worth seeing and the people who need to see it. That’s the thesis behind the blog.

Evidence over opinion

Original research shaped from where no one has measured yet, structured data engines can actually ingest, results you can audit. Receipts, not best-practice theater.

The team is the multiplier

The best work comes from collective intelligence, not individual brilliance. I build systems — and people — that keep winning after I leave the room, because impact that depends on one person doesn’t scale and doesn’t last.
